What Is TEFA?
Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) is a state program that gives eligible families funds to use toward approved private-school education. For the 2026-27 school year, the standard award was reported at $10,474 per student, with up to $30,000 for some students with disabilities.
Only schools approved for TEFA can accept TEFA funds. On this directory, a school shows a TEFA ACCEPTED badge only after its participation is verified. Schools without the badge may still participate; their status is simply unverified here.
